RULES + DESIGN NOTES
TakeIt
Public money. Private moves. Twelve rounds of pressure.
TakeIt is Hadtoo's social property game for 4–8 players. Cash, income, property ownership, and standing stay visible while each player's action remains hidden until the reveal.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
Choose in secret
Each round, players choose an action such as TAKE, BLOCK, or BUILD without revealing the move to the table.
Resolve the market
The round resolves in a fixed order so ownership changes, protection, and construction stay legible. Public money and property values let everyone understand the stakes before the next choice.
Survive the leaders' tax
From round two, the income and cash leaders can face The Man and Fat Cat, which puts extra pressure on players who are visibly ahead instead of letting the economy snowball without resistance.
Win on empire value
After the twelve-round economy, the strongest total empire wins. The tension comes from reading opponents' hidden actions while everyone can see the financial consequences.
WHAT HADTOO CREATED FOR THIS TITLE
Specific systems, not a claim over the whole genre.
- The combination of public financial information with hidden simultaneous TAKE/BLOCK/BUILD decisions.
- The Man and Fat Cat pressure systems that target visible economic leaders.
- Hadtoo's boardroom presentation, resolution order, responsive table layout, and round-by-round feedback.
ORIGINALITY BOUNDARY
What we mean when we call it original.
Property and economic strategy are established game genres. Hadtoo does not claim ownership of those broad ideas; the originality claim is the specific rules, action structure, leader-pressure systems, interface, tuning, and implementation used by TakeIt.
