RULES + DESIGN NOTES
Cutline
Build close. Launch far. Know when to stop.
Cutline is Hadtoo's home for the Random Pin system: players assemble a modular rocket toward a target, draft launch position, and then choose whether to secure distance or keep pushing past the mark.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
Build toward a target
A round gives the table a target and a sequence of modules. The build rewards getting close while module traits create different routes to the same goal.
Draft the launch order
Launch position is part of the strategy. Earlier and later positions offer different information and advantages, so order is something players compete over rather than a passive turn sequence.
Fly checkpoint by checkpoint
The rocket travels outward through checkpoints. Each successful leg increases the potential result while the risk of failure matters more as the run continues.
Secure or push
At each decision point, a player can lock in the run or keep flying. Later players may know the score to beat, turning the same probability into a different decision depending on table position.
WHAT HADTOO CREATED FOR THIS TITLE
Specific systems, not a claim over the whole genre.
- The target-build and typed-module loop used before launch.
- The launch-position draft and table information structure around the score to beat.
- The secure-or-push space-flight presentation, checkpoint progression, scoring, and multiplayer table flow.
ORIGINALITY BOUNDARY
What we mean when we call it original.
Push-your-luck and target-building are familiar game ideas. Cutline's claim is not that those genres are new; it is the particular combination of modular construction, launch-order strategy, checkpoint risk, table information, scoring, and the first-party software implementation. The underlying Random Pin build is maintained within the same creator portfolio and is presented here as a Hadtoo title.
